✨ All Go in Te Ruma Kiwi! ✨

It was all go in Te Ruma Kiwi this afternoon as our tamariki got busy making bracelets and scrunchies ready for their Show Day Stall next term! 🧵🩷

There were skills on show everywhere
Sewing machines humming, beads being threaded, irons working and lots of creativity happening! 🙌

It’s awesome seeing our tamariki learning new skills, helping each other and creating some very cool things along the way. 💕👏

We can’t wait to see their finished creations at Show Day! 🌟

In 2017, Clifton School was the recipient of a Mazda Foundation – Project Crimson Treemendous Grant to plant an area of our school with native trees and develop an outdoor classroom.

This area was renamed in 2024 to Te Ngahere o Taumaihi as part of our Enviroschools Bronze Reflection Day.

In the leadup to the big planting day on 7 April 2018, a dedicated group of volunteers spent hundreds of hours laying cardboard, mulch, compacting and edging paths and generally preparing the area. On the day, we were joined by our wider school community and the team from Treemendous and planted over 980 native plants in this area.

This area is rich in bird and insect life, has a resident frog and our trapping team keep a close eye on pests and predators. As with all big projects, there is always work to be done, and we never say no to new volunteers!

You can see more on the below links, as well as appreciate the growth over the last 8 years.
