Meet the team #8

Kereru aka Ru

Ru is the newest member of the team, she's been with us for a couple of months now and is starting to settle into her new life pretty well.

Ru is a Standardbred mare and is rising 4 - she never paced as she just didn't have the motivation for it.

I have backed Ru once and over the coming weeks I will get on her more and ready for her life with lessons and treks!

Ru has a very kind eye and loves attention from anyone who will give it to her.

We can't wait to see what she has to offer.

Available lesson times:
🐴 Tuesday: 2:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm or 5:00pm
🐴 Wednesday: 2:00pm or 3:00pm
🐴 Thursday: 2:00pm, 3:00pm or 5:00pm

We offer both lesson packages for committed riders and private lessons.

📌 Please note: Lesson packages are available for group lessons only and do not include private lessons. Group lessons have a maximum of 2–3 riders, giving each rider plenty of individual attention while enjoying the benefits of riding with others.

Fern (she has no nickname yet)

Fern is a 7yr old, 16.3hh Standard bred, who came off the track from pacing 13 weeks ago!

Fern has absolutely no nasty bone in her body, she doesn't kick, bite, bolt, rear even with other horses! She is a gentle giant 🫶🏻

Because we have only had Fern 10 weeks, we are still figuring her personality out. She is definitely going to be one cool horse the more she is schooled and brought along in her ridden career.

We can't wait to see what the future holds for her. However, for now we know that - she loves the forest and just ambling along taking in the scenery.

Do you have a child who loves horses and wants to learn more than just riding? Our brand-new 10-week Equine Care Programs are designed to teach practical horse care, responsibility, confidence, and horsemanship in a fun, hands-on environment.

📅 Every Friday during the school term
🕞 3:30pm – 5:30pm (Times may vary slightly throughout winter due to daylight hours.)

Little Horse Carers (Ages 10 & Under) 🐴

$850 for the 10-week course

Perfect for younger horse lovers wanting to learn the basics of caring for horses.

Children will learn:
✨ Horse safety
✨ Grooming
✨ Feeding and daily care
✨ Horse colours, markings & parts
✨ Tack basics
✨ Leading ponies
✨ Stable jobs and fun horse activities
✨ 40-minute riding lesson each week

Two good rides yesterday the ponies were so well behaved!

Red had her first client forest ride and was an absolute angel the whole ride ❤️ this is definitely where she enjoys to be and will be doing more of it.

I am very sore today we walked about 3.5 hours all up thanks Mya 🙃 for your super help!
