A four day camp in the Catlins starting and finishing on Te Rau Aroha Marae.
An experience for our young Ngai Tahu rangatahi to experience life in the outdoors and gain knowledge about their Tupuna, whenua, moana and ngahere.

The clock is ticking and we are leading up to our last Rangatahi Tumeke wanānga for 2026
Date - Friday 2nd October - Tuesday 6th October 2026.
Venue- Tautuku Lodge

Please see enclosed the link for expression of interest forms, get these completed as soon as possible rangatahi mā.
We will be taking 22 rangatahi aged 12-17 years.
Put some time and thought into your answers as these forms have a huge bearing on your selection.
We wish we could take everyone but sadly some miss out, however keep applying and eventually you will get through.
Lastly, the forms shall be closed on Monday 14th September.

Nei ā kupu whakamihia ka rere ki a koutou katoa
We are 3 weeks out since Rangatahi Tumeke made our journey to the beautiful whenua at Te Koawa ō Turoa ki Takitimu.
We celebrated Matariki with a Hau Tapu, along with great kai and awesome whānau.

The cold was next level, but the whare kept us warm and cosy . 🥶🥶
E kore e mutu ki a koutou ki te whānau tautoko o Rangatahi Tumeke! You guys are legends… we are so blessed and proud to call you guys whānau ❤️🫶🏽😍

We are going to have a debrief and shared kai following our last RT wanānga from 10-14th April at Tautuku.
This is an invite to all rangatahi , whānau , whānau tautoko , mātua me whaea, whānui
We would love to see you and share a kai and hear how your rangatahi found there time with us.
Where: Te Tomairangi Marae, 54 Eye street
When : Sunday 3rd May 2026
Time: 5.30pm
Please bring a kai , drink and a gold coin koha for marae.

Just spend 2 days with some of our tuakana in Otepoti with the amazing Dive Otago crew. Many thanks Jensen for getting these guys equipped in First Aid and hosting us over your weekend.❤️💯
We had an awesome time away.
Kieran Coleman, Ataahua Tuhi, Raiha Blair, Jacob Ultee, Anahera Unahi are now all equipped to awhi whānau if needed.

Another wanānga all done. Filled our cups to get home to the taiao. Weather was beautiful , great company!
