What an amazing Matariki Whānau Celebration we had last week. A whopping 70 families came for kai, dancing, a star hunt and marshmallows around the fire. It was so good to see grandparents, aunts, uncles and older siblings all joining in the fun that our kaiako created.

Join one of Blenheim’s premium early childhood centres as a casual (reliever) kaiako

Due to growing enrolments, some of our valued casual staff have recently moved into permanent roles—so we’re now looking for new relievers to join our team. This role is ideal for those who can step in at short notice to cover staff illness, as well as provide planned cover when our permanent kaiako take well-deserved leave.

Our centre is bright, calm, and unhurried—creating a supportive environment where tamariki can fully engage in their busy and meaningful learning. Our team is welcoming and collaborative, and we truly value relievers who are confident to ask questions, get involved, and support wherever needed. We offer a supportive induction process, allowing you to learn the rhythms and expectations of the centre at your own pace.

About you:
- You don’t need a formal qualification
- Experience working with children is an advantage
- A genuine passion for tamariki and their learning is essential
- You’re flexible, reliable, and happy to step in when needed
Please note: All applicants are required to undergo a Police Vetting check. Current processing times are approximately four weeks, so we encourage you to apply now to get started.
