A busy day of learning and play at Playschool!

Today our tamariki enjoyed a wonderful mix of creative, sensory and active experiences.

We got creative making special cards
Explored the textures and sounds of bird seed in our sensory play
Enjoyed puzzles outdoors in the fresh air
Had so much fun with a simple water tray — sometimes the simplest invitations create the biggest smiles!
Got busy working in our “office” station, taking on important roles and letting imaginations run wild
And finished with plenty of energy as we raced around on our bikes!

So many opportunities today for creativity, exploration, communication, problem-solving and developing confidence through play.

What a lovely Playschool day!

During yesterday's NatureFocus session the big kids were on a mission today… the mud slide was calling!
Only, when we arrived… it was DRY! 😱 Oh no! But that certainly didn’t stop the fun. The tamariki climbed, slid, scrambled and explored different areas, making the most of what nature had to offer.

A puddle provided plenty of splashy fun, the swampy piece was, as always, a big attraction, and amongst all the exploring, the tamariki took time to notice the beauty of spring beginning to appear around them.

Sometimes the best adventures are the ones that don’t quite go to plan!

🌼💛 Daffodil Day at Playschool! 💛🌼

Our Playschool was a sea of yellow as we celebrated Daffodil Day with a morning full of sunshine, creativity, exploration and plenty of fun!

We started our session with lots of singing, smiles and participation at mat time, setting the scene for a fun-filled morning together.

The lemon water tea exploration tray was a huge hit, with lots of pouring, scooping and sensory discovery. Our dirty car washing station was another favourite — because who doesn’t love getting those cars sparkling clean?

We got creative with our daffodil painting provocation, squished and shaped yellow playdough with matching cutters, and of course captured some special moments at our little Daffodil Day photo prop.
What a beautiful, bright and joyful celebration full of learning through play!

Today at Just Gym, the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves exploring movement, balance, coordination and ball skills!

We walked along the beam while holding a ball, balancing and passing it from one hand to the other. We practised forward rolls on the mat with a Swiss ball.

We also had lots of fun jumping on spots and picking up balls and throwing them into baskets.

The children practised rolling the ball to a partner, bouncing and catching, throwing into hoops and buckets, and kicking towards a target.

Lots of movement, confidence, coordination and, most importantly… FUN! 💙❤️

“Little hands, big adventures, discovering the wonders of nature.”❤️💙

Today at NatureFocus, the children used their imaginations and creativity as they explored the great outdoors. From sticks and stones to climbing hills and discovering the natural world around them, it was nature at its very best!

We also celebrated one of our little explorers turning 2!

It was so lovely to see lots of new friendships developing as the children played, explored and enjoyed being together.

A beautiful morning of connection, exploration, imagination and wonder. 🍃🪵🪨
