✨ MGC Takes the NZ Fashion Week Runway! ✨

Huge congratulations to Year 13 Textile Fashion Technology students Freja Broughton and Trinity Locke for representing Marlborough Girls’ College on the national stage at Walk the Line during New Zealand Fashion Week! 👠👗

Out of 108 nationwide entries, Freja and Trinity were selected among just 78 finalists to showcase—and model—their original designs on the Auckland runway.

Freja Broughton (Avant-Garde Category): Designed a bold statement piece addressing workplace gender inequality, contrasting vulnerability against the traditional male suit.

Trinity Locke (High Fashion Category): Created a powerful corset-as-armour garment designed to empower women in the corporate world while embracing femininity.

From initial design concepts to walking a professional runway, both students gained invaluable industry experience. We are so proud of your creativity, talent, and confidence! 🌟

Wow! Massive congratulations to the MGC and MBC target shooting teams who have just competed in the Target Shooting New Zealand Challenge 2026 at the Secondary Schools' Postal Shooting Competition.

The Marlborough Girls' College team topped the Girls category while the Marlborough Boys' College team topped the Boys category! Such brilliant results from both Colleges! 👏
