⚡ Quick Fire Questions

2. 🎵 Favourite sing-along song? Harleys in Hawaii by Katy Perry.

3. 🦸 What superpower would you choose? Flying! My parents are in India, my brother is in the USA and my sister is in Australia, so it would make family visits much easier.

🌟 Meet Hayley – One of Our Manaaki Teachers! 🌟

Hayley has been part of our Little Wonders whānau for many years, bringing warmth, care and beautiful connections with our tamariki. 💕

There’s an extra special connection too — her daughter Eden has grown up at Little Wonders and is now in her final year with us before heading off to school next year! 🎓💛

We’re so lucky to have Hayley as part of our team! 🌿✨

Physical play gives our preschoolers a healthy way to release all those BIG feelings and busy energy that can build up throughout the day. Sometimes you just need to have a good old “let it out!” moment! 😄💨

And when they work together, they’re learning so much more — communication, cooperation, problem-solving and supporting one another. 🤝

Because sometimes the best learning happens when we get a little bit messy, a little bit noisy and very, very active! 🌿💪

🌟 Off to Primary School, Arianna & Ezekiel! 🌟

What a special journey it has been watching our gorgeous twins, Arianna and Ezekiel, grow, learn and flourish during their many years with us. 💕👫

From little ones finding their feet to confident, capable school starters, you have both filled our centre with so many happy memories, laughter and love.

We are so proud of you both and will miss your beautiful faces, your individual personalities and the special bond you share. 🥰

Wishing you the very best for this exciting next chapter at primary school. Go out there and shine, Arianna and Ezekiel! ✨📚🎒

🐑💛 The cutest visitors! 💛🐑

Our tamariki were absolutely delighted to welcome some very special little visitors to preschool — baby lambs! Named Olaf and Prince Hans by proud stock-girl Sophia 🥰

There were plenty of excited faces, gentle pats, curious little hands and lots of “Awww!” as we got up close to these adorable wee bundles of wool. 🐑✨

What a wonderful opportunity for our children to connect with animals, nurture their curiosity and enjoy some hands-on learning in the most delightful way.

He tino ataahua ngā hipi iti! — The little lambs are so beautiful! 💕🌿

🌿 Learning, growing & sharing the joy! 🌿

We’ve been so lucky to have our wonderful trainee teacher, Kate, with us for much of her journey. 💕

Kate brings such a unique and fun energy to our days, and it has been a joy watching the relationships she is building with our tamariki. From joining in their play and adventures to supporting their learning and curiosity, she brings enthusiasm, warmth and a genuine love for those “lightbulb moments”.

It’s also wonderful to see the learning go both ways. Kate is gaining valuable hands-on experience, while our team gets to share our knowledge, ideas and passion for what we do. 🌱

We’re so proud to be part of Kate’s journey and grateful for the fresh ideas and quirky humour brings to our centre. Nau mai, haere mai, Kate! 💕✨

🌱 Learning Through Play 🌱

This is what play-based learning looks like at Little Wonders! 💛

As our tamariki jump, kick, balance and catch, they’re developing so much more than just physical skills. They’re building coordination, balance, spatial awareness, confidence, problem-solving and communication — all while having fun and following their own interests. ⚽️

Yesterday we said farewell to our wonderful Walter as he heads off to primary school. 🎒🏉

Walter has been a much-loved member of our Little Wonders whānau. With his infectious smile, kind nature, and love of rugby, he has brought so much energy and joy to our days. It has been a privilege to watch him grow into a confident, capable young boy who is ready for his next adventure.

While we’ll miss hearing all about rugby and seeing his cheerful face each day, we know he’s ready to tackle this exciting new chapter.

“Mā te huruhuru ka rere te manu.”
Adorn the bird with feathers so it can fly.

We wish Walter and his whānau all the very best for the journey ahead. We’re sure he’ll be scoring tries both on the field and in the classroom! 💙

Our beautiful Atawhai babies don’t always make it onto our page as often as our older tamariki—and that’s because many of our little ones are happily snoozing during the times we usually take photos! 😴💕

But while they may be quietly dreaming, their days are full of love, learning and gentle discovery.

Today we’re shining the spotlight on our gorgeous Atawhai pēpi, because they deserve to be celebrated too! Aren’t they just adorable? 🥰

“He iti te mokopuna, he taonga” – Every child, no matter how small, is a treasured gift. 💚
