The tamariki explored how movement, scale, and form changed through projection on the OHP, making their ideas visible.

As part of our wild animal exploration, tamariki enjoyed a giraffe-focused setup with a “feeding station” where leaves were hung from strings. They stretched, reached, and moved their bodies to explore how giraffes eat, showing excitement and curiosity. Some also used toy giraffes, extending their imaginative play.
Later, tamariki explored giraffe patterns using mud and brushes, creating brown spots while engaging their senses and creativity. This experience supported movement, imagination, and hands-on learning. 🦒✨

As part of our zebra exploration, tamariki engaged in a sensory outdoor experience using mud, leaves, and water to represent a zebra’s habitat. Through imaginative play and a fun washing station, they explored textures, cared for their zebras, and developed creativity and responsibility 🦓💧

Gentle Water & Nature Play for Pēpi
Our pēpi explored sensory bags filled with water, colourful leaves, orange slices, and natural materials. They enjoyed looking, touching, and gently pressing the bags to see how the materials moved inside.

This calm, hands-on experience supported curiosity, sensory awareness, and early coordination through simple, meaningful exploration.

Tamariki explored zebras through a creative straw activity, using black and white to represent their stripes. As they glued and arranged the straws, they created patterns, counted along the way, and added features like legs, faces, and yarn tails.
