Welcome to the Carnival!
We're excited that we will be gathering together in a week's time to celebrate Maungawhau Playcentre's Golden Jubilee.

We have been working hard behind the scenes to make it a special afternoon.

Even if you can't make it to the event, please see below some details of an exciting silent auction to raise funds for our centre.

Have a look at the information below, remind any former members of Maungawhau to register and prepare for the party!

If you are coming to the party, please bring:
Your children's portfolio
Any photos you have of your Playcentre journey
A small plate to share (if you can manage it)

2.30pm | Formal welcome, karakia & waiata
3pm | Puppet show by Hands Alive
3.30pm | Cake!
3.45pm | Games and activities
5pm | Close

Join Maungawhau Playcentre as it celebrates its 50 year anniversary. Current and former members are invited to join the carnival-inspired golden jubilee party.

Kia ora e te whānau!

We are thrilled to announce that we are having a Golden Jubilee Carnival, welcoming current and former members of Maungawhau and Balmoral Playcentres to join us on the 12th of Sept to celebrate Maungawhau turning 50! 🥳✨️

We will have delicious kai (you're welcome to bring a plate), entertainment, sideshow set-ups and a display of memorabilia and artefacts from Maungawhau and Balmoral Playcentres through the ages. We are hoping to have a great turn out of present and past members from 50 years! & we look forward to commemorating them with a fun filled day for the whole family.

Also, we are reaching out to see if our wonderful community are able to contribute donations to put in a silent auction held on the day.
If you have personal links to a local business who may be interested in donating goods or services (nothing is too small) that we could use in our auction we would really appreciate it.

Another lovely day at our weekly outdoor session.
This week we met on the side of Maungawhau - Mount Eden.
Every Thursday we join with New Windsor Playcentre to explore a local park or beach.
Our tamariki had lot of fun today looking for bugs, and playing on the community rope swing.

At Maungawhau Playcentre we love finding ways to incorporate the special celebrations of all our families cultures, into play.
Celebrating Myanmar New Year with lots of wonderful water set ups this week was so much fun!
