Thank you to our families for being such an important part of our centre community, for partnering with us in your children’s learning journey, and for taking the time to share your experiences. 🥰

Over the past few weeks, our children have been busy creating their own tie-dye shirts for Pink Shirt Day. As we celebrate kindness and respect for one another, we made these shirts to show that we stand together — valuing each other, listening to our friends’ voices, and respecting everyone’s ideas.

Let’s stand united! 👚💗🌺

Happy Mother’s Day! 💐 💮

To all the whaea, mums, step-mums, grandmas, nanas and mother figures in our lives - today is for you!

For the early starts, the big hugs, the long nights, and the endless love in so many different forms… we see it, and we appreciate it.

Sending love and aroha to you today.
We also hold space today, for those who may be missing someone, waiting for someone, or carrying their motherhood journey quietly. 💗 💜

Here at Little Coasties we loved sharing a special morning tea with all the mums, nanas, aunties and special wāhine in our children’s lives. Thank you for joining us and helping make the morning so special.

We hope you all have a wonderful Mother’s Day filled with love and special moments with your whānau. 💕

“At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.”

At Little Coasties we took time to remember and learn about ANZAC Day 🌺

Through creating poppy art, sharing stories, and listening together, our tamariki explored remembrance, built their understanding of the past, and practiced respect, patience, and working as a group. We were also honoured to have a veteran visit and read a story, helping bring these ideas to life.

Lest we forget ❤️

Four of our wonderful tamariki are spreading their wings and heading off to kura in Term 2!

It has been such a joy watching them grow, learn, laugh, and build friendships during their time with us. Each of them has brought something truly special to our Little Coasties whānau, and they will be so missed. 💛

As they begin this exciting new chapter, we wish them all the very best on their next adventures. We know they will shine bright and continue to do amazing things!

We had a wonderful visit from St John in Schools today! 🚑💚

Our tamariki learned simple, important ways to respond in an emergency, building confidence and understanding through hands-on experiences.

A big thank you to the team for sharing such valuable knowledge with us — we loved having you at Little Coasties!

At our centre, Nourish is all about thriving minds, active bodies, and nurtured hearts.

Today, our tamariki came together to share a meal in a calm, connected environment. Sitting together, using real utensils, and enjoying nutritious kai helps build independence, social skills, and a sense of belonging.

Through Nourish, we’re not just feeding growing bodies—we’re nurturing confidence, connection, and healthy habits for life. ✨

In the spirit of Matariki, our tamariki have been busy planting seeds of hope and new beginnings. With gentle hands and curious minds, they explored the soil, carefully sowing seeds that we will nurture together over the coming weeks.

As we look to the stars and reflect on the past, we also look forward to harvesting what we grow—celebrating the cycle of growth, care, and connection to Papatūānuku. 💚

We are excited to introduce to you - Bee Curious 🐝

Early learning is so much more than what meets the eye. It's rich conversations, problem-solving, social development, resilience building, creativity, and connection, all woven together in meaningful ways.

Bee Curious is our Curriculum Framework, built on the strong foundation of the Te Whāriki. It celebrates curiosity, supports intentional teaching, and helps our tamariki grow in confidence, creativity, and capability.

Watch, enjoy, and stay curious with us!
