Today we took our year 6 student leaders to Campbell's Bay School for a Young Leaders Day. They learnt a range of leadership and communication skills while working alongside leaders from a range of schools. What a great experience for our young leaders!

Yesterday a group of our students participated in a sports day at Glenfield College. We came 1st place in touch, 2nd place in football and 3rd place in netball. All our teams showed incredible sportspersonship, resilience and perseverance.

We had an amazing group of student leaders represent our school at the ANZAC service at Glenfield War Memorial on Saturday. Our head peeps then lay a wreath on behalf of Bayview School.

Our Road patrol crew having their refresher training today with Constable Louise Nicholas. Thanks to our road patrollers and parent volunteers who help to keep our school community safe. Please ensure that you follow the instructions from the children when using the crossing and wait for "CROSS NOW" to keep us all safe.

Yesterday a group of our students volunteered to go down to the Bayview Early Learning Centre to perform some waiata to the tamariki as part of their Waitangi Day celebrations. Such an awesome experience to share with our little friends at the ELC.

Just a reminder that the office is open each day next week for any queries you may have to start the year.
On Thursday the 29th January we are holding our whānau connect meetings . Your child's class teacher should have been in contact with you already to make an appointment time. During these meetings we will be giving out the Long Bay Trip notice for your information. The whole school trip to Long Bay is on Friday the 13th February. Once everyone has joined Seesaw we will also send this out on there. Any payments or permissions can be done through EzLunch.
Friday the 30th January is the first full day of school. We are excited to welcome our learners back to school and to welcome our brand new learners and families. Please remember, the first bell of the day goes at 8.55am and all learners should be in class by this time.
A quick reminder also that on the 5th February we have a Teacher Only Day and school will be closed for instruction that day. (Friday the 6th February is Waitangi Day so you get another long weekend!)
