✨A Beautiful Matariki Tradition at KCC✨

To celebrate Matariki, our wonderful KCC families each brought along a vegetable to contribute to our Matariki soup💙🌿

Together we created a delicious pot of soup that was shared and enjoyed by our tamariki, whānau & kaiako.

Matariki is a time to reflect on the past, celebrate the present and look forward to the future! We are so grateful to all of our families who helped make this experience so meaningful for our tamariki!

🌟4’s+ Learning Hub Update🌟

Our tamariki have been thoroughly enjoying their new 4’s+ Learning Hub and are embracing all the exciting learning opportunities it has to offer!

Recently, we have been engaging in outdoor exploration, developing an appreciation for nature and learning how to care for our environment. Tamariki have loved feeding our bunnies, discovering tiny critters around KCC and creating homes for them in our bug houses 🏡 🐛

Indoors, our tamariki have been building their independence by taking responsibility for their own workbooks and learning resources📚They have been practicing their pencil grip and letter formation, developing early writing skills and confidence!✏️ Creativity continues to flourish as tamariki enjoy exploring different painting experiences each day🎨

It has been wonderful to see our tamariki growing in confidence, curiosity and independence as they engage in meaningful learning experiences that help prepare them for school and beyond!❤️💛💙

KCC is now home to 4 new budgies and 3 adorable quails🐥alongside our 2 existing budgies and 4 much loved bunnies! 🐰

Tamariki have already been showing so much curiosity, care and responsibility as they get to know our furry and feathered friends🌿✨

We are excited to share a little peak into our beautiful updated space at KCC🏡✨

Our environment allows tamariki to come together in the mornings and afternoons, fostering a strong sense of community and connection!

During the day, our 4’s+ Learning Hub tamariki transition into their dedicated space where they focus on school readiness, independence and all the important skills they need for their next big step🌱📚

Our tamariki under the age of 4 now enjoy a larger indoor environment designed for exploration, creativity and play! Giving them even more space to learn, discover and grow at their own pace🌻

We can’t wait to see all the learning, laughter and memories this new space will bring!🌟
