When our attention is over there with others, we get to make the difference that we aspire to. When our attention is over here with us and listening to that chatterbox in our heads - we often get stopped from achieving what we most desire to see in the world. As the creators of our worlds, our power lies in being interested and committed to what creates and shapes the contexts, ngā horopaki we live inside of. Context is decisive - it literally shapes our experience and actions. Create the context of being of service, being used up by what you are committed to.

Think about someone you know who you admire for their focus, passion, aliveness and what they are creating in the world - I had the asolute privilege of learning alongside Whaea Kaa and Papa Tawhiri Williams last year at Te Wananga Takiura - a couple who are absolutely committed to the revitalisation and growth of te reo maori being spoken and embraced in our whānau and communities. They've been doing this together for 59 years. Every day they show up to, direct, teach, and are actively engaged within their school of learning. They are the most vital, well, dedicated, loved and committed people I know. They are 'being used up by' what they are committed to and they have made a difference for thousands of people that they have persoanlly connected with and thousands more that they have never physically met

'm in the enquiry of: Nothing anyone has ever said or done has impacted me. The more I look and enquire the more I see that. Every event/incident/experience/moment in my life has happened. It is the meaning I have added to those moments/incidents/experiences that has shaped and influenced how the 'experience' of it has occurred to me - the fabulous, the ugly, the fantastic, the blissful, the empty, the sad, the funny, the bad and the good. Its an incredible enquiry and gives power if you're willing to look :)
