Has anyone in your family trained with you? How did that go?
The kick starts before the kick.
Multiple patterns champion Mark Trotter works with his student on driving the knee to a high chamber position in Choi-Yong - a detail that separates a good kick from a great one.

What if your students could hit harder and move faster - without training harder?
This session with Grand Master Davidson explores the underlying principles that make everything else work: breathing, relaxation, body mechanics, and why power has nothing to do with muscular tension.
It's one of those classes that quietly changes how you think about teaching technique.

Most black belts have performed Kwang-Gae hundreds of times - far fewer have truly analysed it.
Grand Master Paul McPhail covers the technical and conceptual details that are easy to overlook, and harder to correct the longer they go unaddressed.
Originally prepared for the ITF On-line Technical Seminar, this material didn't make the final programme, which means it's something even seminar attendees haven't seen.
Worth a look. ⬇️

Choong-Moo is the final colour-belt tul before black belt, and it earns its reputation.
Our Patterns Hub page includes GM McPhail's key technical points, Master Trotter's coaching tips on the flying side piercing kick (one of the hardest elements in the whole syllabus), and the remarkable story of Admiral Yi Soon-Sin.

6 July 2001. Rimini, Italy. A room full of senior ITF figures, and a day that would reverberate in ITF history.
The 13th ITF Congress is one of those events that comes up again and again in conversations about modern ITF history. Most people know the outline, but few have actually seen it.
TKDCoaching has rare video footage from inside that meeting, and watching it unfold is very different to reading second-hand accounts. The tone in the room, the key figures present, the way discussions were handled adds a level of detail and context that's hard to get any other way.
