Talofa lava aiga,

Last week we celebrated Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa/Samoa Language week at the kindergarten. Nga tamariki were engaged in art activities, stories, songs, books, and dance from Samoa. Some of our tamariki wore traditional Samoan puletasi/dress and they looked just beautiful.

We were lucky enough to be able to watch our very own Lia perform a traditional Samoan dance for our aiga and their fanau. Well done Lia you danced beautifully and we were all captivated by your performance.

Kia ora e te whanau

What a wonderful week of celebrating Easter here at kindergarten. Nga tamariki have been involved in Easter art activities, baking, singing and dancing. Then today we had a special visit from Mrs Bunny who had hidden some Easter Eggs in our garden for nga tamariki to find. It was lovely to see nga tamariki all dressed up for Easter celebration. Please enjoy looking at a snapshot of photos from the Easter week.

Nga kaiako would like to wish all tamariki and their whanau Nga mihi o te Aranga - a very Happy Easter.

Have a safe long weekend.

Kia ora e te whanau,

Nga tamariki were very excited to see the new resources nga kaiako have brought for the kindergarten. In the boxes there were lots of toys for our sandpit, water play and play-doh areas. Tamariki are all looking forward to playing with this wonderful equipment.

Namaste whanau!
Holi is a special festival called the Festival of Colours. Today nga tamariki celebrated this festival and we had a day of fun and joy. Nga tamariki participated in a variety of colourful activities such as art, messy play and they dressed up in bright colours. This festival encourages our tamariki to learn about different cultural festival which teaches them about sharing, friendship, and happiness. At Clayton Park Kindergarten, celebrating Holi helps tamariki to understand the value of kindness and togetherness. What a wonderful way to enjoy learning about Holi and having fun with all our friends. Happy Holi!
