On 15th May, we proudly celebrated Pink Shirt Day at Young World 💗

Together with our tamariki, we enjoyed meaningful activities that helped us learn about kindness, friendship, inclusion, and standing up against bullying. Through stories, conversations, art, and group activities, we helped children understand why Pink Shirt Day is important and how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

It was wonderful to see our little learners spreading love, respect, and positivity throughout the day 🌸✨

During May 4–8, our centre proudly celebrated New Zeala nd Sign Language Week! 💙

Our tamariki had so much fun learning New Zealand Sign Language through greetings, letters, animals, songs, and everyday communication. They explored NZSL by learning signs for songs such as ‘Te Aroha’, ‘Pepeha’ and ‘Mōrena’.

It was wonderful to see our tamariki building confidence, communication skills, and an appreciation for inclusion and diversity through NZSL learning. Ka pa tō mahi, tamariki mā! 👏🏽⭐️

On a very special occasion of Mother’s Day, Young World made their mums day special by nail pampering💅💖
They had achance to paint their nails, share smiles, and enjoy delicious kai. Every mum felt loved and appreciated.
It was such a beautiful way to celebrate the amazing mums and special people in our lives. Thank you to all the families who joined us for this heartwarming experience ✨

Last Thursday, we celebrated Mother’s Day with a beautiful afternoon full of love and connection.

Our tamariki created heartfelt artworks for their mothers, while our back room was transformed into a cozy nail salon where mums enjoyed gel nails, refreshments, relaxation, and meaningful conversations.

It was a special time to honour and appreciate the incredible mothers in our community. Thank you to all our wonderful mums for everything you do. 💖

🌊🐧 Young World Trip to Kelly Tarlton’s! 🐢✨
What an amazing day our little explorers had on their trip to Kelly Tarlton’s! The children were full of excitement as they discovered the wonders of the underwater world. From watching the penguins waddle and swim, to spotting colourful fish and fascinating sea creatures, there was so much to see and learn. 🐠💙
The trip sparked curiosity, conversations, and lots of smiles. It was wonderful to see the children engaging with their surroundings, asking questions, and sharing their discoveries with friends. Experiences like these help bring learning to life in such a special way! 🌈
A big thank you to our teachers and whānau who supported this trip and made it possible. We loved every moment and can’t wait for our next adventure! 😊

Tamariki had just as much fun as the teachers and it was amazing to see them explore their world of creativity and explorations through these learning experiences🐰most importantly as they come together in learning and working alongside each other promoting tuakana-teina relationships amongst each other🌈
