STUDY TIPS for WORKSPACES
Messy desks, bad lighting, too much noise–––the places where we study can affect how well we learn. Here's some quick tips to transform your study space at home:
- Pick one space + stick with it (ideally not your bed)
- Get comfy, but not too comfy (zzzz).
- Remove distractions, like phones + open tabs with non-study related content 👀.
- Have easy access to everything you need to study (pens, paper, books, water, snacks, etc.) 🍌.
- Pay attention to lighting to avoid eye strain + sleepiness. Natural light is ideal.
- Limit noise or listen to ambient music.
If you're struggling to find somewhere quiet, comfortable + well-lit to study, the AUT Library is open on all three campuses at Alert Level 2.5.
Just bring your phone + the AUT app to check-in.

We know the realities of COVID-19 have meant a lot of the established ways of teaching and learning haven't been possible. Significant changes have been needed to keep everyone safe, follow government requirements, and make sure students’ learning and research can continue.
We're applying a universal approach to assessments and academic progression, so no students are prevented from continuing their study due to issues caused by COVID-19.
