Bright Sparks Childcare Henderson

Physical literacy is about developing the fundamental movement skills that all children need, such as running, hopping, throwing, catching and jumping. These movement skills in turn gives our tamariki the confidence to participate in different physical activities, sports, and games. Fortnightly we have Rhonda to come along and do active movements with the children. They always get excited seeing her and loves to participate in the programme. If you are looking for childcare we have currently limited spaces available in the preschool (3 - 5) come along and view the place you will not be disappointed. Last Friday Clareo room tamariki (2-3 yrs old) celebrated Cook Island language week. Our parent (Averil) was very kind to come along to showcase some artefacts, songs and music to share with the children, pineapple the tropical fruit was also shown to them to see, feel and eat them. Thank you very much Averil, our kaiako and tamariki really enjoyed it very much.

The toddlers in our centre experimenting with tie dye, watching the colours mix, listening and engaging with the process as their teachers were guiding them along the way.
We are here to promote learning through play come along and visit our centre as FUN is part of our learning too, currently we have vacancies and please let your friends and family know. New promotions will be out soon look out for the post.....

Matariki celebrations continues as our tamariki visited Auckland Museum last Friday. It was a great experience as we had the opportunity to go into the marae where tamariki, kaiako and whanau was able to see all the beautiful carvings and the educator had planned activities, stories and more for all of us to participate. It was also a very moving experience for our whanau as this was their first experience to visit the marae as many of them were from different nationalities. The protocols that we had to follow was a learning experience. The whanau was so glad that they had this wonderful chance to be part of the trip. Also thank you to all the parents/whanau who came to support us for this trip.

How is the winter season treating you please keep warm and keep safe. We thought we will put something up for your all to have a think about and give your thoughts too, if possible share it to your friends and family, more the merrier.

Matariki, the Māori New Year, means 'tiny eyes' or 'eyes of god' Tamariki in the centre was provided with several provocations to celebrate this special day via arts & crafts waiata and kai.

Last Friday our 4 to 5 yrs tamariki had the opportunity to visit MOTAT, it was a fun as they had a tram ride but also the educator at MOTAT had a wonderful story about a tram which was very interesting as the tamariki had a very interactive programme.
