This is the New Zealand native Enoki mushroom (Flammulina velutipes) it commonly grows in New Zealand in the winter. Very tasty, much nicer then the cultivated varieties in my opinion. It has this beautiful purple velvet texture at the base of the stem. Keep an eye out for it on your foraging journeys.
