JKS Karate Auckland Central and East
We practice traditional Shotokan Karate. Taught by Sensei Phil Willson, a qualified 6th Dan blackbelt Our classes are Taught by 5th Dan Sensei Phil Willson.
A member of the Japan Karate Shoto Federation (JKS) founded by the late Master Asai and now led by the legendary Kagawa Sensei, Japan national team coach. Sensei Phil spent almost a decade in Yunnan province, south west China where he is the founder of all Karate in this province of 45mil people. He still travels to China annually to teach instructors, ensuring their quality of coaching continues to advance.

2022 Karate classes start Tomorrow! (Tues 8th Feb)
You’ll find us at Hillsborough Primary School Hall, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:10pm.
We are now taking enrollments for 7 year old & above. Come take a free trial for the first week to see if Karate is for you. Remember, Karate is not just for kids, we have a mix of adults & children across all our 6 clubs in Auckland. Karate is a great regular family activity and I encourage family groups including parent/s to give it a go. Ask about our family discount.
We are part of an international traditional karate organisation ”Japan Karate Shoto Federation” (JKS) Our instructors are all highly qualified and very experienced.
