Dear Parents and Caregivers,

There is an important change regarding sKids Devonport, Belmont and Vauxhall.

My sKids Area Franchisee agreement has come up for renewal and after careful consideration, I have decided not renew it. Please be assured that this decision was not taken lightly.

I understand the deep trust you have placed in me by entrusting your children to our care, and I have always strived to provide a nurturing and safe environment for them. My commitment to your children's well-being has been unwavering throughout the years. The decision not to renew the contract was made after extensive thought and consideration of my family.

sKids Devonport and area will be taken over by sKids Programme Management team from the beginning of Term 3, Monday 17th July 2023.

Operations will continue under me as usual for the remainder of Term 2. I am currently working closely with sKids Programme Management to transition the programme as seamlessly as possible into the new leadership. This includes assisting the staff with reapplying for their positions.

Over the past 8.5 years, I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Devonport area community however, I feel that it is time for me to refocus my energy on my young family. I want to thank you
all for supporting us throughout the years and for entrusting your children to our team, knowing they will be well cared for.

We want to reassure parents and caregivers that sKids Programme Management is committed to continuing to offer the high level of exciting, fun, and engaging activities that your children have
enjoyed in our care.

As part of this transition, our Franchise Support Manager Rose King will be making herself available from 4.30pm on the Thursday 22nd June 2023 at Room 1, Devonport Primary School to meet with parents. This will be an opportunity for you to address any questions you may have.

sKids Devonport is a private out of school care and recreation provider based at Devonport Primary School. We operate from 7.30-9am and 3-6pm on weekdays and 8-6pm during the school holidays. We are currently looking for two permanent part time programme assistants to join our brand new team from 31 January 2023.

You will be assisting in the day-to-day running of the sKids programme, ensuring that all children attending receive optimal care at all times. This includes preparing healthy snacks, helping with children’s homework and running fun activities. You will be engaging with children, managing their behaviours and working as part of the team.

The successful candidates must:
 have great customer service skills
 be energetic, reliable and patient, and
 have a can-do attitude.

If you hold a current first-aid certificate and a full driver’s licence, your application will be advantageous. The preferred candidates will ideally be an all-rounder in arts and craft, music, sports and food technology.
