Talofa lava! 👋🏽✨ This week, our school has been alive with music, dance, and beautiful cultural pride as we celebrate Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa (Samoan Language Week)! 🇼🇸 Our students and staff have embraced this year’s theme, embedding the language and traditions into our daily school life. From practising key phrases in class to enjoying weaving, playing a game of lape and grating taro. It has been an incredible week of learning and connection. A massive fa'afetai tele lava to our amazing Samoan students, families, and staff who led the celebrations and shared their beautiful culture with us all.

Last week was all about celebrating Africa day through art! Room 6 spent the week exploring the incredible colors, symbols, and storytelling found in African beadwork. The best part? The kids got to design and string their own inspired bracelets and necklaces! Wow! Way to go, Room 6!

Room 21 class turned into a full-blown artist studio last week as they brought their sculpture ideas to life. Swipe to see the journey from paper blueprints to sticky, scrunched masterpieces! We couldn’t be prouder of these little sculptors. Awesome work!

This week, Room 17 class took inspiration from Virginia King’s stunning nature-based sculptures. The students have been busy combining geometric patterns with natural forms, learning how art can help us appreciate our environment. We love seeing their creative minds (and busy hands) at work! 🎨❤️

A massive, heartfelt thank you to the wonderful folks at the Rotary Club for visiting our school last week. They generously gifted our year 4 students with their very own dictionaries! From "adventure" to "zealous", our kids are already hunting for their new favourite words. Swipe to see some of those proud, book-loving smiles! ️❤️

Art is a window to the world! 🌍 This week, our students celebrated International Africa Day by diving into the rich artistic traditions of various African cultures. Days like today remind us of the power of art to connect us across borders and celebrate the diverse world we share. A huge thank you to our amazing teachers and creative students for putting together such a beautiful celebration!

This week, students in Room 27 have been exploring geometry through hands-on learning. They learned that while all quadrilaterals have 4 sides and 4 angles, they each have their own unique properties that make them special. Activities like this help our students bridge the gap between abstract math concepts and the real world. Check out some highlights below!

Our amazing students in Room 19 are using newspaper, masking tape, and PVA glue to sculpt animals that represent their cultural or ethnic backgrounds. Messy hands, proud hearts, and incredible stories of identity being brought to life.

Check out their progress! 👇✨
