On Thursday the 4th of June, we have our exciting Te Hihi Dance Show! This is a celebration of the dances our students have been learning during their Footsteps dance lessons and it’s not to be missed!

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased from the school office – cash only – $3 each. Each family may purchase up to 3 tickets. Students are welcome to purchase tickets on behalf of their family.

We encourage you to get your tickets now before we open the rest of the unsold tickets up for sale. Tickets will be sold on a first in, first served basis, so be quick to avoid missing out!

Students need to be at school by 5:30pm to meet in their classrooms and get into costume. Even if whānau are not attending, your child is still expected to be there, as they have worked hard to learn and perfect their dance for this showcase. Only students who are present during the school day can perform on the evening.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Kia ora whānau,

We have some exciting news to share. Te Hihi School was recently recognised in the New Zealand Education Excellence Awards. These are a new national awards programme celebrating outstanding performance in schools across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Te Hihi School was nominated in the Excellence in Educational Leadership category and was shortlisted in the top 10 schools nationwide. While we did not progress to the final stage, being recognised among the top 10 schools in New Zealand is an achievement we are incredibly proud of, especially with a leadership team that has only been in place for two years.

This recognition reflects the collective effort, commitment, and belief of our entire school community. I would like to sincerely thank our Board, our dedicated teachers and staff, our students, and our wider whānau for helping make Te Hihi School a place where we can all SHINE BRIGHT.

Self made certificate attached.

Dear School Community,

Please be advised that the school is currently experiencing an internet and communication outage. This is due to a Chorus line being down in our area, which has affected both our Wi-Fi and our landline phone system.

Urgent Communication

While our main office lines are down, we have established a temporary point of contact for urgent matters only:

Contact: Nicola Gibson

Method: Email: [email protected] (monitored via mobile hotspot)

Availability: Nicola will be checking her inbox constantly until services are restored.

Status Updates

We are working closely with our IT Provider, Norrcom, and Chorus to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. We will notify you via our usual channels once we are back online.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this technical hiccup!

Te Hihi School.
