Where passion meets curiosity, and day dreams are reality.

Within the Reggio Emilia approach, observational drawing plays a vital role in cultivating critical thinking, enhancing perceptual skills, and fostering cognitive growth. This practice also facilitates meaningful discussions amongst our akonga/students, enabling our community of learners to engage in idea-sharing, build confidence in articulating their thoughts, and appreciate a diversity of perspectives. As students observe an item or object more closely, they refine their knowledge and adapt their understanding of science, mathematics, and the natural world.

We carefully construct our environment to encourage profound engagement, introduce basic literacy and numeracy skills, and inspire the curious minds of our tamariki. A Reggio Emilia space recognizes the diverse languages our children use to engage with the world, fostering deeper exploration of the ideas they connect with and nurturing a lifelong love of learning that we are dedicated to inspiring in the hearts of our tamariki.

Our two little explorers are completely engrossed in their work, seated side-by-side in their temporary cardboard studio. Their messy clothes and the splatters covering the floor are testament to a serious session of play where there were no rules, only discovery.

Inspired by (RIE) Resources for Infant Educarers approach our space is more than just a room—it's a sanctuary for exploration.

What sets us apart?
Respectful Care: Our trained caregivers practice "wanting to do with" instead of "doing to," allowing infants to actively participate in their care moments, such as nappy changing, dressing, kai time etc.

Trust and Observation: We trust in your baby's innate ability to learn and explore. Our approach is to be a supportive presence, observing and responding to their cues.

A Peaceful Atmosphere: Our room is designed to be a quiet haven, promoting focused play and a sense of security.

Come see how our RIE-inspired Infant Room can help your baby build confidence, develop self-awareness, and thrive in an environment that truly respects them as a whole person.
