Blockhouse Bay Christian Kindergarten

We had our connections coffee this morning.

Today, the children had an amazing time exploring gloop made from cornflour and water. They enjoyed touching, squeezing, stirring and moving the gloop, discovering its unusual texture through sensory exploration. The children shared their observations, describing it as “sticky” and saying “it looks like milk.” Through this hands-on experience, they developed curiosity, language, fine-motor skills, creativity and early scientific thinking as they explored, compared and made connections with what they already knew.

Our flower shop was very busy yesterday afternoon. This was a great learning experience for developing negotiating and turn taking skills. Children also get to live out real live situations such as shopping. It’s all about: playing, imagining, problem solving and experimenting.

South East Asian Cultural Day Celebrations

We had a fantastic cultural celebration at kindy! The children and teachers dressed in beautiful cultural clothing and enjoyed singing Indian and Korean songs, along with the national anthem. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate diversity, culture, and togetherness.

We had a fun time celebrating Book Week at Kindy. The children and teachers dressed up as their favourite book characters. Everyone enjoyed a day full of books, fun and imagination!
