Kia ora,

We’re reaching out to share an upcoming series of “Growing Stronger Together” workshops for parents and caregivers of children aged 5–12. I’d really appreciate your support in helping us share this opportunity with families in your community who may benefit.

These workshops are designed to help caregivers better understand children’s emotions and needs, particularly during times when families may be experiencing health or wellbeing challenges. Participants will gain practical tools to strengthen communication, resilience, and emotional connection within the family.

We’re offering sessions in multiple languages to improve accessibility:
Hindi Session: Thursday 30 April, 10:30am to 1:00pm
Athol Syms Community Centre, Epsom
English Session: Saturday 2 May, 10:00am to 12:30pm
Western Springs Community Hall, Point Chevalier
Somali Session: Friday 8 May, 10:00am to 12:30pm
Rakiraki Room, Wesley Community Centre, Mt Roskill
Mandarin Session: Saturday 9 May, 10:30am to 1:00pm
Athol Syms Community Centre, Epsom

As part of our school value of Respect, Henderson Primary supports a charity each term. This term we are supporting the Starship Foundation and will be raising funds to help sick and injured kids from across Aotearoa to receive life‐saving care at Starship Hospital.

On Thursday 2nd April we will support Starship Foundation by having a ’home clothes day’. Please wear your home clothes on this day and bring a gold coin to donate to this great charity.
