WEST Means Business

WEST has been a part of the group organising the Te Puna Market. The market runs every Saturday 7.30am till 1pm in the Falls Carpark. Come along and support local growers, farmers, backyard gardeners and small home based businesses by buying local :)

Te Puna Market is opening this Saturday!
A weekly market run in the heart of Henderson, Auckland in the Falls Carpark every Saturday morning from 7.30am. We have an assortment of fresh fruits & vegetables, meats, bakery goods and other produce and natural made products.. We also have occasional workshops and activities for everyone.

Kai West Collective In collaboration with key partners we support events, information sharing and conversations about new ways to improve our local food system and how we can turn them into action to support greater access to local, fresh and affordable kai!

If you are a backyard or small scale grower in West Auckland with a bounty to share get in touch about our neighbourhood produce stall.

Big changes to Henderson Valley Rd which include the removal of the flush median strip and removal of the Council carpark and the development of bike lanes are being proposed. You can give your feedback here:

We have our F Endorsement (Forklift) Certificate Course coming up on 22 June at WEST - 9 Henderson Valley Rd
Do you want to drive a Forklift on a worksite, or add F Endorsement (Forklift) to your driver licence and legally drive a forklift on a work site or public road?

WorkSafe Requirements are that an employer must train employees to operate equipment such as a Forklift. This can be done by a Competenz approved forklift trainer. The Forklift Operator Certificate (formerly OSH) should be renewed every three years. Those who operate a forklift on a road should have an “F” endorsement on their full driving licence. Three separate courses are offered - New Forklift Operator Certificate, a Refresher Course and an “F” Endorsement for a fully Class 1 licensed candidate. Additional unit standards are offed by negotiation, for NZQA Credits.

WHAT: Three separate courses are offered on the day

New Forklift Operator Certificate (OSH)
Refresher Course, to renew OSH every three years
“F” endorsement for a Full Class 1 licensed candidate.
WHO: Operators Certificate and Refresher - 16 years or older. Demonstrate knowledge and skill to operate a forklift

F Endorsement - Full Class One Licence for 2 years or more

WHEN: 8.30am - 3pm on Saturday 22nd June 2019

COST: Initial Course $160 incl GST

Refresher Course $140 incl GST
