Our Tamariki loved creating portraits of their mums using cotton buds and paint 🎨 Each artwork was filled with wonderful little quirks as our Tamariki chatted about their mum’s hair, smiles, glasses, and all the things that make them special. It was such a joy to hear the beautiful stories they shared while they painted 💕
Happy Mother's Day to all our lovely mums at Kids Count Lenore💞

This month, our Honu tamariki were given the opportunity to be part of our learning journey around Anzac Day.

Throughout the week, our tamariki engaged in hands -on activities including art, painting, sensory play, creating poppies, and learning about remembrance, peace, kindness and Community.

These meaningful experiences supported children to develop creativity, respect, curiosity and a sense of belonging while learning through play.

We are proud to see our children actively participating and connecting with the importance of remembering those who served. 🌺

Late post👑from yesterday our gorgeous Prince, Cairo and Cadaniel looking so handsome with their dress up as Princes during our dress up party yesterday 👑! Children’s interaction with each other through play developed social skills and imaginative play is essential for children’s cognitive and emotional development. Fostering creativity, problem-solving and emotional intelligence.

The second week of the school holiday is underway, and our children are thoroughly enjoying the school holiday program. Today, the Prince and Princesses garden tea party is taking place. The Dolphin and Honu Room children are so excited and cannot wait for their garden tea party. Regardless of the inclement weather, they have set up their patio for the event. Well done Kaiako, excellent work.

🌈 Holiday Program Highlight of the Day - Star-Sting Room Face Painting Fun 🎨

✨ Our Star-Sting tamariki loved exploring face painting today. With gentle brushes, bright colours, and lots of smiles, they enjoyed a rich sensory and creative experience.
Through this experience, they are learning to make choices by communicating their preferences, building trust and connections with their kaiako and peers 🥰

Our Star-Sting tamariki have had a wonderful week filled with curiosity, creativity and connection.

🌼 Indoors - our kaiako have been supporting rich social play, helping children build friendship, share ideas, and explore their working theories of the world around them through pretend play. A highlight of our week was face-painting activity, where tamariki chose their colours, watched patterns appear, and expressed themselves with big smiles and lots of excitement once they see the final product 😁

🌿 Outdoors - our tamariki have been busy exploring the natural environment and investigating what they can find. From discovering rocks, bugs, and leaves, to observing how things move, feel and change, they are developing early scientific thinking. Alongside this, they continue to strengthen their balancing skills as they climb, navigate uneven ground, and test their physical abilities with growing confidence.

Every experience - indoor and out - is helping our tamariki grow into curious, capable learners who love exploring their world ☺️
