Most men focus on outcomes.
Lose 20kg.
Get abs.
Bench 100kg.
Run 5km.
The problem is that outcomes happen in the future.
Systems happen today.
You can’t lose 20kg today.
You can eat a high-protein breakfast today.
You can’t build your dream physique today.
You can train today.
You can’t transform your life this week.
You can repeat the right actions this week.
The men who succeed long-term stop obsessing over the destination and start focusing on the process.
Because if the system is good, the outcome eventually takes care of itself.
Focus less on where you want to be.
Focus more on what you do repeatedly.
That’s where change happens.

BUILD SYSTEMS, NOT RELY ON MOTIVATION.
Motivation feels great when it’s there.
The problem is, it isn’t there every day.
If your success depends on feeling motivated, you’ll always be starting over.
What changed my life wasn’t finding more motivation.
It was building systems:
âś… High-protein meals I could repeat
âś… Simple workouts I could stick to
✅ Daily movement, even when I wasn’t motivated
âś… Better sleep habits
âś… Small actions that became automatic
Over time, those small actions compounded into big results.
I’ve lost over 100lbs, improved my health, built strength, and created habits that I can actually maintain.
Stop asking:
“How do I stay motivated?”
Start asking:
“What system can I build that works even when motivation disappears?”
🔥 If you’re a man wanting a proven system for fat loss, strength and accountability, comment MEN or send me a message and I’ll show you what we’re building inside Built For Men.

It’s easy to watch other men succeed with their health and fitness goals and wonder why you can’t.
You see the high-protein meals, the salads, the 5am cardio sessions, the gym selfies.
And you assume they have more discipline, more willpower, or more motivation than you.
Usually, that’s not the problem.
The difference is often their system.
One of the simplest ways to build a better system is through anchors.
An anchor is a small action that makes the next action easier.
Pack your gym bag before work, and you’re more likely to train after work.
Track your protein at each meal, and you’re more likely to hit your protein target.
Get in the car and drive to the gym, and walking through the door becomes much easier.
The anchor isn’t the goal.
It’s simply the step that points you toward the goal.
Most people focus on the summit.
The weight they want to lose.
The body they want to build.
The finish line they want to cross.
But big goals can feel overwhelming.
As Sam Ovens recently said:
“Don’t focus on the summit. Focus on your boots.”
Step by step.
What’s the next action?
What’s the next anchor?
Fill your day with enough good anchors and they become routines.
Routines become habits.
Habits become a system.
And eventually, that system takes you where motivation never could.

You don’t need more motivation. You just need a system.
A sustainable system that you can consistently follow.
That’s it.

Built For Men is officially live 🔥
I’ve spent years helping people recover from injury, build strength, and improve their health, yet like many men, I also know what it’s like to struggle with my own weight, habits, and consistency. Recently I’ve lost over 100lbs myself, transitioning from a strength athlete into a healthy Dad.
That’s why I created Built For Men.
Not another challenge.
Not another quick fix.
Not another meal plan you’ll quit after two weeks.
Built For Men is a community designed to help ordinary men:
đź’Ş Lose fat
🏋️ Build strength
🧠Create habits that last
🔥 Become more capable in everyday life
Inside you’ll find structured weight loss systems, strength programs, cardio plans, coaching, accountability, and a group of men all working towards the same goal.
The first 20 members can join for $29/month for life.
If you’re ready to stop starting over and finally build something that lasts, we’d love to have you.

What’s the difference between HVLA and LVLA?
The research might surprise you.

The barbell bench press can be a fantastic tool when used correctly. Few upper body exercises offer the same level of scalability, stability, loading potential, and long-term progression. Whether your goal is strength, hypertrophy, athletic performance, or rehabilitation, the bench press can be an incredibly effective option when the foundations are in place.
However, the ability to scale the movement effectively depends on meeting a few basic but important technical prerequisites first. Positioning, control, bar path, trunk stability, and appropriate shoulder mechanics all matter. Without these, many lifters end up compensating, limiting performance, or unnecessarily irritating sensitive tissues.
Mastering the fundamentals does not mean chasing “perfect” technique. It means developing a repeatable, efficient movement strategy that suits the individual in front of you. Once that foundation is established, the bench press becomes far more adaptable, tolerable, and productive over the long term.
Enjoy.
