Our Warmfloor Heating cable is designed in New Zealand, it has been customised for the NZ Climate to ensure the best heating and most economic performance, offering a quicker heat up time than comparable products.

A Warmfloor installation can legally be performed by a Tiler (NOTE: an electrician is required only for the thermostats wiring and connections). Retail Tile Stores often arrange in-store group Warmfloor training sessions for their Tilers to qualify as a Warmfloor Approved Installer, or alternatively we can also offer online training. Warmfloor offers a 25-year guarantee when installed by an Approved Installer. This training will ensure the product is installed correctly and to the best practices plus maximise the Tilers profit margins on their tiling projects.

The Warmfloor cable is fully tested and compliant to NZ Electrical Standards NZ61100 and IEC 60800:2021

I’m Keith — a qualified joiner with 35 years’ experience, specialising in kitchens and bathrooms. In recent years I’ve focused on high-end bathroom renovations, managing projects from start to finish.

I joined the NZ Tile Council because our industry needs stronger accountability across the board — from tilers on the tools, to product suppliers, local councils, and now the Council itself. For too long, tiling has lacked clear, consistent standards, leaving both tradespeople and customers exposed.

With new nationwide regulations coming — likely to form part of the NZ Building Code — we’ll finally have clear guidelines for all tilers to follow. Having proper standards will make it easier to explain important details that clients may not always want, but absolutely need.

I’m looking forward to a more positive, professional future for our industry and will grab any chance to keep improving my skills.

Please note that although this manual is written for the US market and uses American terminology, AS 3958 is based directly on the American standards, and the US is essentially using the same adhesives to fix the same tiles we have here in NZ.
