We’ve been spoilt this week — beautiful flowers from one of our lovely families, and coffee from Moss Coffee (the best coffee — and it just happens to belong to one of our amazing parents!).
We decided to shout ourselves a coffee before the long weekend — because why not!
Wishing our wonderful community a beautiful, safe, and joy-filled long weekend! See you on Tuesday!!!

A huge thank you to our wonderful community for the beautiful flower donations. You’ve filled our spaces with colour and joy — and reminded us that yes, it really is spring (despite the rain doing its best to convince us otherwise!).
Our classrooms’ holiday programmes have once again been a great success — full of excited children, enthusiastic teachers (and yes, a little tired too!). Thank you to all our parents, grandparents, extended families, and our former students and families who continue to be part of our journey. We’re so grateful for you all. Have a restful week-end! See you next week!

We’re thrilled to invite our whānau and community to the interactive exhibition celebrating our participation in the Early Encounters with Art and Materials for Infants and Toddlers research project, led by Dr. Rachel Denee (Victoria University- Wellington) and Dr. Sarah Probine (AUT-Auckland). Alongside three other centres, our amazing kaiako and tamariki were recognised for their inspiring mahi—exploring creativity, curiosity, and capability through art.
📅 Sunday, 12th October, 10:30am–12:30pm
📍 Kristin School, 360 Albany Highway, Albany
When adults disregard a child’s contribution, they assume an image of the child as an empty vessel to be filled with knowledge by adults. To take children’s questions, thoughts and expressions seriously- as valid contributions- challenges this deficit image of the child and assumes another one – that of a competent and capable learner.
