Kia ora koutou,
OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE AN IMPACT WITH YOUR BAKING SKILLS!
The Bread Collective need cover for their programme for 4 days in September. In this role, you will be teaching former refugees the art of bread baking. I have been told that it isn't about bread expertise but that it is about attitude, as the Bread Collective team will help you out on the day, and will be there to support. They have their recipes and just need a keen person to undertake the basic bread steps to a small class of 10.
Have a look at the website to understand all they are about: https://thebreadcollective.org.nz/
Details of the cover needed:
Dates: Tuesday 8 – Friday 11 September
Time: 3:30pm – approx. 7/7:30pm
Pay: $31.25 per hour
Address: 60/90 Leon Leicester Ave, Penrose (Woolworths eStore)
Bakes that week: Flatbread, panini, ciabatta (recipes provided)
Support: Our Programme Manager will be there every day alongside them, and we will arrange extra support from our resident bakers of other weeks on day one to help them get to grips with everything
Before the programme: We will meet with them to go through the recipes, talk it through, and sort the paperwork (casual agreement, KiwiSaver and IRD forms, etc.)
Position also suitable for a keen student. To reiterate, it is about the attitude and patience rather than expertise in bread
Please let me know as soon as possible.
Ngā mihi,
Ana Djokovic
