Tiny Tots Childcare

We are excited to have bought the house next door to Tiny Tots and have settlement taking place tomorrow. It means we can develop and use the south side play area as well as have increased storage and staff areas. If you would like to pop over tomorrow on pick up, I look forward to showing you around 🥂

We had a fun night out last night saying ‘Yes to the Dress’ celebrating Ashleigh choosing her wedding dress. It’s so important to connect as a team, celebrate each other’s special moments and enjoy each others company, although perhaps the karaoke was a step too far 😂.

We also celebrated Holly’s Birthday 💕

We all absolutely loved watching the characters come to life in a fun, imaginative and interactive show. There was certainly loads of laughter!

The preschool children welcomed in Autumn today with a lovely bushwalk. We found a little clearing that was perfect for lunch and enjoyed the fresh air and the sound of cicadas and birds. Once back at Tiny Tots we had a refreshing iceblock and a fun afternoon playing with our friends. I hope you all sleep well tonight 🥰

Last week our babies enjoyed baking biscuits for Valentine’s Day as well as art and craft activities whilst our toddlers and preschool children set up a Valentine’s Day Lolly Shop.

What looked like a fun activity also had lots of learning opportunities as well as supporting children's development skills.

As we use the tongs to pick up each lolly and place it into the jar, we are strengthening our fine motor abilities, building hand-eye coordination, and developing our pincer grip. We are also learning early math concepts like counting and volume.

The activity also encourages focus, patience, and independence and challenges us to concentrate and refine our technique with every transfer.

At Tiny Tots learning is aways fun.😍

We had a fun day out today visiting the Pumphouse Theatre in Takapuna to watch a live performance of Piri the Pīwakawaka Saves Christmas.
What a fabulous show and we especially liked the singing.
