Year 9 enrolments are currently closed for upcoming intakes.
Due to exceptionally high demand, all available Year 9 places have been filled and we have already established a substantial waitlist for future years. As a result, we are not currently accepting additional Year 9 applications.
If circumstances change and places become available, we will contact families already on the waitlist in the order determined by our enrolment process.
North West College
North West College is a charter school for Years 7–13, focusing on academic excellence and creative arts.
Located in North West Auckland, we offer small class sizes and a supportive environment to help students thrive.
For Emmerson, creative arts have been more than just fun. They’ve been a way to explore identity, self-expression, and imagination in a supportive environment.
Being able to practise facial expressions, vocal techniques, and character work in drama has given them a space to grow in confidence and enjoy learning in their own way.

The all clear has been given. Our lockdown practice at the Lincoln Road Campus is complete, and all students, staff and visitors are safely accounted for.
Everyone stayed calm and followed instructions, which is exactly what these practices are for.
Thank you to the families who held off calling and visiting while it ran.

North West College is running a planned lockdown practice at our Lincoln Road Campus this morning. This is a practice only and there is no emergency. Please do not come to the school or phone us while the practice is underway. Staff are focused on the exercise and will not be able to respond, and we run these practices exactly as we would a real event. All updates will be posted on our school website. We appreciate your cooperation.
THE POWER OF IDEAS
Jamie’s learning to think differently. Not just to take in facts, but to see the world with more curiosity, more possibility.
One unit in English helped shift that. It wasn’t just the topic. It was how it was taught. In a way that made sense, that clicked, and stayed with him.
This is the kind of learning that lasts.

North West College is proud to share some outstanding news from the school holidays.
Maheu Papau T-Pole, one of our Year 9 students, competed in the Australian National Scrabble Championships in April 2026. He was one of only six junior players in a field of 50 competitors, the rest of whom were adults.
Maheu finished 21st overall with 13 wins. He was awarded the best performer prize in the Plate division for players rated under 1000, and took home $150 AUD in prize money.
This is a remarkable result for any competitor, let alone a secondary school student going up against experienced adult players at a national level.
Congratulations, Maheu. We are very proud of you!
