Our Year 7 learners have been sharing their Community Project journeys with their families!

Guided by the central idea, “People create systems to organise work, resources, and decisions,” learners chose a North Shore essential service, researched the issues and challenges it faces, and developed a proposal for advocacy action to address one of them.

Most importantly, learners have grown in their understanding that their voices matter and that, even at 11 and 12 years old, they can speak up, take action and make a difference in their community.

A new addition to our Materials Workshop!

Our new laser cutter opens up endless design possibilities for our learners.😍

The new tool in our Materials workshop is this state of the art laser cutter.
With an impressive cutting bed of 1.4m, the design opportunities for our students are endless.
From Clocks to lighboxes or even desktop games, nothing is too much trouble for this beautiful machine.
Thanks to MakerSpace for delivering and installing it for us.

Out of Zone Ballot

A reminder that applications for the ballot of 2027 Year 7 Out-of-Zone places must be completed by 2 September.

Please visit our website for enrolment information, including the online enrolment form.

The ballot will be drawn on 9 September and applicants will be notified of the results by email, within three working days.

A special visit from Graci Kim!

We were so happy to welcome author Graci Kim to TNIS for a special session with our learners.

Graci shared her journey as an author, her love of storytelling and some wonderful messages about taking chances, learning from mistakes and believing that the impossible can be possible. There were lots of laughs, smiles and great questions along the way, and our learners absolutely loved it!

A big thank you to gracikimwrites for spending time with us and making the visit so special. We loved having you at TNIS!

We also loved seeing one of our learners surprise Graci with a beautiful piece of artwork she had created especially for her.
