Colour Fun Run Date: Friday 24th April 2026
Get ready for a burst of colour, energy, and excitement... it is the Orakei School Colour Fun Run 2026!!!
Our students will be seeking online sponsorship for their efforts on Colour Fun Run Day to help raise funds for our school while taking part in one of the most fun and vibrant events on the school calendar.
All funds raised will go towards:
* Classroom resources to enable teachers to personalise their lesson plans and engage students.
* The Awhina fund - this fund is designed to ensure all our tauira have the essentials they need for school.
* Contributions towards teaching assistants, sport, technology and garden to table.
How do I sign my child up to fundraise online? Each child can sign up for their very own fundraising web page to send out to collect online sponsorship from anyone, anywhere!

Pop Up Market
Sunday 29 March | 10am–2pm
Intersection of Kepa Rd & Kupe Street (car park in front of the bakery / Evans Kebab / Mini Market)
There’ll be a range of local initiatives and organisations sharing what they do, including:
• Te Pourewa – community vegetable garden
• Selwyn Community Education – information about upskilling and joining their 8,000-strong community
• Ōrākei Community Association Inc. – updates on what’s happening locally
• Orakei School – details on recent school upgrades and facilities
• Digital Seniors Auckland – supporting people to build confidence with technology
• And anyone else who is keen to get involved!
We’ll have live music, children’s entertainment, and a few treats for locals to take home.

A special morning at Ōrākei School, we invited our Korean whānau to a farewell assembly attended by senior classes, who showcased our school values and delivered outstanding speeches, notably Nate and Bryn, setting the tone for an emotional farewell, celebrating great memories and friendships. ❤️
