Rain or shine, our days at Stellar Kids are filled with laughter, exploration, and fun. From muddy play on wet days to outdoor adventures and sunshine play, our tamariki thrive in all weather. These experiences help children connect with nature, build confidence, and enjoy learning through play every day.

Our tamariki LOVE our Bush Walk adventures, it’s chance to actively explore the beauty of nature, connect with Papatūānuku, and enjoy the fresh air alongside their friends.

Along the way, the tamariki discovered all sorts of treasures, from pinecones to sticks of every shape and size. One clever tamaiti even found a stick so big she decided it was perfect for pretending to lift weights, how creative! 💪
We love encouraging outdoor exploration, giving our tamariki opportunities to grow curious minds, strong bodies, and joyful connections with the world around them. 🌱

This past week, we celebrated Bastille Day, a special French holiday that one of our wonderful tamariki celebrates each year. 🇫🇷🎆

The children began by colouring pictures of the Eiffel Tower, proudly using bleu, blanc et rouge (and a few other favourite colours too!).
At mat time, we learned about how Bastille Day is celebrated in France, watching a short video of dazzling fireworks that lit up the sky, the children were absolutely captivated!

To finish, we took the celebration outside and made our own firework-inspired art using paint and flicking brushes to create bright, bursting displays.

What a joyful way to explore a different culture and come together through art, learning, and celebration. Vive la France! 💙❤️🤍
