Situated on 2 acres we are a converted house that we have made into our home. Our Pukeko Room (3-5years old ) is looking for a head teacher. Looking for a centre to call home is much like looking for a centre for your child. We all want our children to experience genuine authentic relationships, natural beautiful outdoor spaces( think real grass!), a sense of belonging and a heart centred environment in which the child is the heart of the matter. If this is something that appeals to you, then you are the Kaiako we are looking for!

✨ Mānawatia a Matariki✨
We have had a lovely week of celebrating Matariki here at Early Impressions. We started off the week by making Kumara bread and we asked whānau to bring in vegetables so we could make soup 🥣. To mark the beginning of the Māori new year we invited families to join us as we gathered around a fire pit and enjoyed some kai together. Thank you to all our families who took the time to join us in our Matariki celebrations for 2022 🌟

Sand play 🏝

It is no secret that the sandpits are a big hit here at Early Impressions. Our sandpits are full of authentic resources, recycled materials, eclectic items and nature’s treasures. These wondrous resources come in all different weights, sizes and are made from different materials. They can be as big as drainpipes and tyres and as small as pinecones and acorns. Through play, the children use these items in a multitude of ways depended on their interests, urges and ideas.

The beauty of the tuff tray is that it provides endless opportunities for children to follow their own ideas and thinking. The magic happens when we take a step back and allow the children to choose what to do with the resources and equipment. Transporting, pouring, splashing, exploring, investigating ; Wherever their imagination takes them

Anzac Day is not just for remembering the lives lost and the sacrifices of the Anzac soldiers and their families but also a day of quiet reflection- of freedom and love. At Early Impressions even our youngest tamariki have opportunities to embrace the significance of Anzac Day and the ways in which our lives are forever changed because of it. 🇳🇿🇦🇺
