Our tamariki started their morning with a special mat time, when we explored gagana Sāmoa (Samoan language) and learned about the beautiful culture, traditions, and values of Samoa.

We were very pleased to have Mummy Palepa (Chris’s mummy), who generously to share traditional kai and display a variety of special Samoan cultural items with our tamariki. Our children were fascinated as they put on these cultural items and learned about their significance. Palepa also taught us some traditional Samoan dance moves.

In the afternoon, we were also delighted to welcome Mummy Tapo (Princess’s mummy), who sang beautiful Samoan songs with us. Tamariki loved singing along, learning new words, and being immersed in dancing.

Fa’afetai tele lava to our parents for joining us to celebrate Samoan Language Week in such a meaningful and engaging way. ❤️

Little Princess's Tea Party

This week our kaikao talked about the origin of the upcoming King's Birthday.🫅👑 It might be a bit complicated for our young tamariki to understand the history🤔, but our kaikao made the activities in a fun way😄.
Our preschoolers had a lovely mat time brainstorming what King/Queen and their children (Prince/Princess) are doing in their normal days. We extended the topics to castles, palaces, when children linked their imaginations to Disneyland and fairy tale.
Later on our little princesses decided to start their tea party.

Mother's Day Activities

This week our learning journey was filled with love, connection, and creativity as we began preparing for our Mother’s Day celebration.
Our toddlers began to express their ideas using simple words like “mama,” “love,” and “hug,” showing early language development and a growing sense of identity.
Tamariki explored their creativity by using paint and different materials to design and decorate a special “dress for Mum.”

Today for our pre-schooler program time, tamariki created beautiful Mother’s Day cards by using forks and spoons for their moms. 🥰Everyone actively shared their own thoughts and ideas about why their moms are special, making this activity full of love and meaningful conversations 💖
