What an enriching experience for our children! The incredible BARK dog safety team, comprising Heather, Jane, and their lovable dogs Lucas and iLean, joined us to educate our children on responsible behaviour around dogs. The BARK team is a group of devoted volunteers, and any contributions will help them continue their invaluable work in our community.

The likelihood of a child coming into contact with a dog in their community is more or less guaranteed. Owning and being around dogs has so many wonderful benefits and with the right knowledge, understanding and tools it can be a safe and positive experience for all.

The concept of building resilience in our children is more and more at the forefront of parents' minds. Academic success is in fact a result of resilience and can mean very little without it. Kia ora families,

Today the Ministry of Education has been in discussion with all education providers and following their guidance we have made the decision to close our centre tomorrow, Monday 13th February.

As you are aware, Auckland is currently under a red civil defence warning level, due to Cyclone Gabrielle, and we are receiving ongoing advice not to travel unless absolutely necessary, therefore we feel it is in the best interests of our children, families and teachers to close the centre at this time.

No fees will be charged for our days of closure.

As this is a developing emergency we will advise Monday afternoon tomorrow whether we feel it would be safe to open on Tuesday.

Big News! Kaurialnds Kindy now has an AED installed on the railing outside our front door ramp (next to the letterbox). This AED is available for anyone in our community to use at any time.

It can be accessed by calling 111 who will give the caller the 3-digit code for the keypad (which will open the AED for use). You may also like to download the AED app which locates all AED’s around your current location, should you ever have the need.

This AED was purchased by kindy with the blessing of our board members, as a way to further serve our local community 🙏🏼
