Del had the pleasure of lunching with Professor Bethanie C. Pletcher, Ed.D. from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi at Frasers in Mt Eden! A nationally respected literacy scholar, Professor of Reading Education, and long-time educator with extensive experience in classrooms, literacy coaching, and teacher preparation AND just a lovely person spend time with.

What did Del have to say about their hui?
"We had a rich conversation about the power of story. How it shapes identity, strengthens communities, and opens pathways for deep literacy learning. They also discussed the importance of cross-cultural collaboration in education and how bringing diverse perspectives together benefits teachers and learners alike. Most of all, we connected over our shared passion for literacy learning as a vehicle for voice, belonging, and possibility.

Grateful for global partnerships that remind us: stories travel, and so can we."
