We’ve partnered with Whānau Āwhina Plunket in honour of Road Safety Week to run Free Car Seat Checks.

Car seat checks and installations are delivered in partnership with Whanau Awhina Plunket by trained child restraint technicians.

Last week we celebrated Sign Language Week. In the beginning of the week, we discussed the importance of learning the signs. Our tamariki learnt that by learning the signs they can help their friends who are not able to verbally speak to communicate. We had a special morning treat for our lovely mum's this morning to celebrate Mothers day with Hero Coffee. The children all made special keepsakes and helped to wrap a special gift for their mum. We really appreciate all our mums and mother figures.

Threading fun! Threading is a great way to help children develop and enhance their fine motor skills, which are essential for many life skills. Our children in our Kauri Room wanted a harder challenge with threading. We used pipe cleaners and beads to make bracelets 🙂

Taking inspiration from the world around us. The children have been watching the leaves change colour on pur trees. We gathered up some of the leaves to provoke wonder and curiosity for the preschool children. We layed out different art media so they had choice while getting creative. What media would you have choosen, oil pastels, coloring pencils or markers?

We aspire to provide our children with an environment of rich experiences through a play-based curriculum, one where children feel empowered to explore and direct their learning 😊 Through their exploration, children use all their senses to build intelligence and to draw their own conclusions about objects, events and the world around them! 🌏🌿
