Be honest...
How do you feel about fussy cutting?
Love it, don't mind it, or avoid it whenever possible?
I know it isn't everyone's favourite technique, but sometimes a little bit of fussy cutting can turn a simple image into a lovely focal point for a card.
I'm probably in the "don't love it, but don't mind it" category.
What about you?

Have you ever looked at a sheet of Designer Series Paper and wondered what to do with it?
Most of us use DSP as a background layer on our cards.
For this card, I did something different. I fussy cut one of the black and white images from the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper, added a little colour and shimmer, and turned it into the focal point of the card.
Have you ever used Designer Series Paper as the main feature of your card, or do you usually keep it in the background?

Did you miss last Thursday's Live?
I shared how I turned the black and white images from the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper into the focal point of a card using a little colour, shimmer, and some simple blending.
These cards were originally designed for my Coffee & Cards sessions, and they were lots of fun to create.
You can see all the cards, read more about the project, and watch the video replay here:

Have you seen the two new Kits Collection kits released this month?
The Washes of Gratitude Kit combines soft watercolour backgrounds with precut floral and greenery pieces to create elegant thank you cards.
The Shaded Petals Kit is a little different. Layer the precut petals, add soft shaded colour with the included Sponge Daubers, and create beautiful flowers with a hand-crafted look.
Kits are perfect for busy crafters, beginners, or anyone who enjoys having a ready-to-go creative project on hand. They also make lovely gifts.
With Free Shipping available until tomorrow on orders of $100 NZD or more, now could be a great time to pick up a kit or two and add any other supplies you need at the same time.

Today is the last day to subscribe for the June Paper Pumpkin kit, Bikes & Blooms.
I've enjoyed creating with the first two Paper Pumpkin kits available in New Zealand. One of the things I like is that you can make the projects exactly as designed for a quick and easy crafting experience, or use the kit elements as a starting point and add your own creative touch.
The June kit features bicycles, florals, silver foil accents, and coordinating embellishments, with everything you need included in the box.
Simply open the kit and start creating. No measuring, no planning, and no wondering what supplies you need.
If you've been thinking about giving Paper Pumpkin a try, this could be the perfect month to start.
