30,879 native plants, grown and now planted this May by 37 schools through the Trees for Survival Programme!

That's nearly 1000 students, lots of teachers and parent help and many hardworking, supportive landowners with a vision for protecting and restoring our whenua!

All of our work is made possible with support from our incredible partners - be part of native tree restoration in Aotearoa and support a school in your region - contact us to be part of the action - www.tfsnz.org.nz

This Arbour Day you can donate a tree or 2 and know that around Aotearoa New Zealand, school groups will be busy planting native trees this season - so you dont have to!

Celebrate our amazing, diverse, resilient native trees as we work towards planting 1 million native plants by 2030 www.tfsnz.org.nz

1,880 native plants were recently planted by Ōtāhuhu Intermediate School and Tāmaki Primary School. Their combined planting day saw plants grown by both schools, being planted by students - what an achievement!

With tough digging on site, it was great to have help from Ventia staff and supporters from the Rotary Club of Remuera. Everybody's efforts were rewarded with a fantastic lunch courtesy of Umupuia Marae.

Thank you to everybody involved in supporting this rewarding work!

We are celebrating the first planting day of our new Mohua/Golden Bay cluster of schools with Motupipi School planting the first 838 seedlings they'd successfully grown in their growing unit. Even more plants grown by the school will be planted shortly at another schools planting day.

We are very grateful for the support of programme partners Fonterra who also had staff join in on the day with the digging - amazing. Thanks also to Tasman Bay Guardians who are delivering the TfS programme to 3 local schools and to the local Menzshed crew who had helped assemble the growing units and also helped plant on the day.

Completing your first year growing and planting is a great achievement- great work everybody involved to get our programme up and running!

Brilliant growing and planting with St Michael's Catholic School Rotorua!

It is wonderful to see students be part of the growing and planting process and learning how their plants contribute to a healthy and resilient environment. Great work and a fun day out!

845 plants successfully grown by Beachlands School in their growing unit this year!
And another sunny winter planting day in Auckland to plant them out on. Their plants will help protect a wetland and contribute to water filtration before it reaches the Hauraki Gulf. Amazing work!
