Kauri Class Bush Shelters
This term, we are learning about early life in Aotearoa. We learned that to ensure survival, building a shelter is crucial. So, we looked at some mini bush shelter designs, which style is better for staying warm and dry, and what materials to use in the bush, and then built one. Look at the creativity and skill. Rest assured, Kauri class will not perish in the bush! 🌳

We have had a fantastic start to term 3. Even the chilly days have not stopped the fun.

Welcome back to Term 3. The library will be open from 7am on Monday morning for the football world cup final between Spain and Argentina. Any students or whānau who would like to watch are welcome to come and join us.

Please note that the rest of the school will remain closed until the normal time, so you won't be able to go to your classrooms or play outside until 8:30 AM. See you in the library for kick-off!

A huge congratulations to our "Birkdale Stars" netball team on an fantastic season! ⭐🏐

Starting the season with 6 players, then 5, and finishing with just 4, these girls turned up each week and never gave up. They played every game with courage, determination, and incredible teamwork.

As first-time netball players, they should be so proud of everything they achieved this season. Well done, you've been awesome 💙🤍🌟
