AN INVESTIGATION...

The return to Kindergarten from our summer holidays bought an enthusiasm for all things relating to the ocean! Tamariki shared exciting stories about how they and their whånau spent the holiday with friends and kaiako at Kindergarten and the interested in evolved. We explored the oceans living creatures, investigated a fish (my cat was very thankful) created oceans in the sandpit and went on adventures in our Kindergarten boat.
We looked at how we can protect and take care of the stunning beaches around us and our oceans and following a visit from Sea Cleaners tackled our own beach clean-up.
This exploration highlights the rich and meaningful learning that occurs at our Kindergarten as it empowers tamariki to contribute their ideas, hypothesis, problem solve, work collaboratively and to make sense of the world around them.
As an Enviroschool Kindergarten this passion has supported our kaupapa of sustainability, care and kaitiakitanga of the environment while embracing all areas of learning

KIA ORA, WELCOME TO 2026!
A new year at Kindergarten has begun and with it, a whole world of exciting learning opportunities for our tamariki. We are looking forward to a year filled with curiosity, creativity and connection, while following children’s fascinations and interests, weaving their ideas into engaging project work, investigations, and discovery. We can’t wait to see where the endless possibilities may lead us!
