What a beautiful morning celebrating the wonderful dads, grandads, and special father figures in our Miller Nest whānau!

Our tamariki were so excited to welcome their loved ones, share some delicious kai, give their special handmade gifts, and create precious memories together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the celebration so special. We truly appreciate the love, guidance, strength, and joy you bring into the lives of your little ones every day.

At The Miller Nest, we provide a warm and welcoming environment where children can feel safe, build friendships, explore their interests and develop a love of learning through play.

We value aroha, manaakitanga, creativity, belonging, strong whānau relationships and connection with nature and our local community.

🌺 Fa’afetai Tele & Happy Samoan Language Week! 🌺
Last week we proudly celebrated Vaiaso o le Gagana Sāmoa here at Miller Nest! 💙🤍❤️
Thank you to all our whānau who joined the activities, supported our tamaiti, and helped us celebrate our beautiful gagana Sāmoa and fa’asamoa. It was wonderful seeing the children so engaged and full of pride in their culture and language.

A big special thank you to one of our wonderful parents who came in to lead a special meeting time, your contribution meant so much and was greatly appreciated! 🙏🏽
We also had the opportunity to visit Mountain View to watch a beautiful Samoan language dance performance, which added even more joy and cultural pride to our week.

Fa’afetai lava to all our whānau, staff, and supporters who made it unforgettable!

Last Friday we filled The Miller Nest with pink, kindness, and so much joy! 💖
Our tamariki and kaiako came together wearing their brightest pinks to stand up against bullying and show that kindness starts with us. We hugged, laughed, created, and filled our giant Pink Shirt with acts of kindness — because every little heart makes a big difference! ✨

Happy Mother’s Day from The Miller Nest 💐

Today we celebrate all the amazing mums, grandmothers, aunties, caregivers, and special mother figures in our children’s lives.

Thank you for the love, care, strength, and support you give every day. Your kindness helps our tamariki feel safe, loved, and confident to grow.

🔥🚒 Fire Truck Day at The Miller Nest 🚒🔥

What an exciting day for our tamariki! Today we welcomed a real fire truck and some wonderful firefighters to our centre.

A very special thank you to one of our parents, Liam, for visiting and sharing his important role as a firefighter with our tamariki.

Our tamariki loved learning about the firefighters’ uniforms and protective gear, exploring the fire truck, sitting inside, taking photos, and helping spray the hose. There were smiles all around!

Thank you to Liam and the firefighters for creating such special memories for our tamariki. ❤️

🌟 Reunion Day at The Miller Nest 🌟
On 15th April, it was a beautiful heartwarming day as our recently graduated tamariki returned to visit us 💛.

Our little ones lit up with joy seeing their old friends again! The graduates arrived proudly in their school uniforms and shared all about their new adventures during mat time, their classrooms, what they’re learning, and their exciting new routines. It was so special hearing them speak with such confidence and excitement

They also told us how much they miss The Miller Nest… which completely melted our hearts 💕 Some even found it hard to say goodbye at the end.

Ngā mihi nui to all our tamariki and whānau who came back to visit. You will always have a special place in our Miller Nest whānau

🐰🌸 Happy Easter from Miller Nest! 🐣✨
We’ve had such a busy and joyful few weeks getting ready for Easter 🐣 ! All our tamariki pitched in to make their own colourful headbands and beautiful Easter baskets, and it was so much fun watching the little ones’ excitement build.

On Thursday we all had an absolute blast at our Easter egg hunt with giggles, running around, and chocolatey treasures everywhere! ❤️

Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter filled with love, laughter, and plenty of sweet surprises.
