CHRISTMAS SHOW 2025
On Thursday we all gathered at the Whangaparaoa College Auditorium for our yearly Christmas Show. We all had so much fun, dancing, singing, remembering lines and laughing together as a Fame Family!

BROCCOLI BAKING
Today our Tuakana, Transition to School group, used the Broccoli harvested from the garden to create yummy kai for afternoon tea.
They expanded on their maths and science knowledge, as well as their ability to participate and contribute as part of a learning community.

MĀRA KAI / GARDEN
We grew two broccoli!
Our tamariki have planted, cared for and harvested many vegetables from our garden. This week we harvested our broccoli and turned it into muffins for afternoon tea.

Literacy and numeracy is everywhere!
Today some of our tamariki spent time looking at the letters, numbers and logos they could see in and from our carpark. There was so much excitement when identifying “my letter”, “that’s in my name” and “I know that logo!”

A WALK TO THE BEACH
Earlier this week our oldest tamariki, the Kingfisher group, went for a walk to Stanmore Bay beach to take some photos. Our Visual Arts focus this term is photography and this community outing provided them with opportunities to explore taking photos of our natural environment with different devices.

STARSHIP BIG BAKE OFF
Last week we did lots of baking to fundraise for . Our tamariki had so much fun measuring, pouring, mixing and scooping to bake lots of yummy treats that have helped us raise over $500 for a fantastic cause.
