Sorry whanau, you may have some children come home asking for a bike for Christmas. Our Year 4,5 and 6s are having a blast learning to ride a bike! For many, they have not ridden before.

Big Foot Bikes are in our school today. Our Year 7/8s are enjoying their cycling experience and learning how to ride safely. We are hoping the weather will hold out for the rest of our school.

Our closing ceremony for Samoan language week will be held on Thursday afternoon at 1.30pm.

Our opening ceremony to celebrate the start of Samoan language week this week was hosted by the students of room 1. Fa'afetai tele lava to Mrs Folu for the beautiful displays.

Today our teachers and learning assistants were split into 3 learning groups and attended professional development sessions. Our learning assistants went to Stonefields School and attended workshops led by teachers from Sommerville Specialist School. 4 of our teaching staff attended BSLA training and 3 teachers and Mrs Hamilton attended the Manaiakalani Teacher Only Day. Thank you to Miss Ibbertson who led a workshop with Mrs Sawant and Ms Erick on kite making for Matariki Week using a picture book as motivation.
Parents and whanau, there is no school this Friday 29th May as we have a Teacher Only Day. Next week Monday is also a public holiday for Kings Birthday weekend. School will be closed on Monday.
