A new chapter is about to begin for Acorn Meadows. From 1 May the centre will become Olive Tree Early Learning Centre.
It is time for us to sign off and hand the reigns to a new owner after 13 years.
Thank you to everyone who has opened our door and been part of the Acorn Meadows Whanau - we couldn't have done it without you.
Special thanks go to the wonderful teachers we have had the privilege to work alongside. Thank you Sunaina, Ani, Shawn, Cici and Helen for being there13 years ago in the beginning and to Cici, Helen, Lizzie, Melissa and Tania for being there in the end. You have all been amazing.
Wishing everyone the very best.

We love these Magnetic Tiles and the creations that are being made by our tamariki are amazing! Lots of learning happening including learning shapes and colours; learning about gravity, stability, balance, weight, and trial and error; understanding size, space, depth, width and height; developing hand–eye co-ordination ; and learning to share with others!

Today our infants enjoyed drawing together while our older tamariki helped cutting up fruit and vege scraps for our worm farm

Great to see the sun shining again! Here are a few photos of what we have been doing the last few days.
Hope everyone is ok after the cyclone and our thoughts are with those who have been widely affected by the recent weather.
Take care and have a great weekend.
